dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a study on the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) for transcribing news stories among broadcast journalists in Kwara State. The study aims to explore the use of AI in improving the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of transcribing news stories. The research methodology employed was a quantitative research design, which involved administering questionnaire to broadcast journalists in Kwara State. The study revealed that the use of AI for transcribing news stories is still in its early stages in Kwara State, but there is a growing interest in the technology. The study also identified some challenges faced by journalists in using AI, such as the high cost of the technology, lack of technical know-how, and the need for training. Despite these challenges, the study recommends that broadcast journalists in Kwara State should embrace the use of AI for transcribing news stories to improve their reporting. The study concludes that the use of AI in transcribing news stories has the potential to revolutionize the way news is reported and should be given serious consideration by journalists in Kwara State.
